About the role:

The primary role of the Photographer is to take photos of the showground and its activity (visitors, crew and volunteers) as directed by the Photography Manager. These will predominantly be ground-based, news and documentary style images.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Operating as part of a team of volunteer photographers
  • Capturing diaried photo requests submitted by the wider event team
  • Processing, captioning and storing all photos in relevant folders
  • Responding to on-the-spot requests for photos
  • Supporting the PR & Engagement Officer with ad hoc PR photo requests
  • Familiarising themselves with showground layout and operational areas
  • To ensure swift delivery of photos in line with photography agreement

What commitment is required?

Availability from Thursday 17th July to Sunday 20th July.

Travel:

In line with our sustainability commitment, we strongly encourage volunteers to car share wherever possible, and/or utilise public transport.

The following is in place to support our volunteers with any out-of-pocket expenses.

  • Motor Mileage: Claim 45p per mile (maximum 315 miles) return mileage to RIAT and to encourage car sharing, an additional 5p per additional passenger may be claimed by the vehicle driver.   
  • Train Fare: Travel should be standard class; reimbursement will be made up to the maximum claim amount (£100.00) on the production of receipts, tickets, or confirmation email.
