About the role:

The role of the Techno Zone® Logistics is to provide support and assistance to the Techno Zone® Logs and Sponsorship team during the set-up phase and over the show weekend. The Techno Zone® Logs Supervisor will be responsible for facilitating the load in, operation and derig of the Techno Zone®. 

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide strategic direction to a team of logs assistants in the setup and dismantling processes, ensuring smooth access for exhibitors and contractors as required
  • Act as a primary point of contact for all logs assistants, offering support and guidance as needed, escalating any issues to the Techno Zone® and Sponsorship Manager or Techno Zone® Executive where necessary. 
  • Manage and coordinate a team rota, ensuring all team members have equal responsibilities and all Techno Zone® areas always have full coverage
  • Oversee the arrangement of furniture within the Techno Zone® marquee to align with operational plans
  • Collaborate closely with the RIAT Site Team and external contractors to deliver and maintain the Techno Zone® infrastructure
  • Ensure the Techno Zone® is safe, accessible, and appropriately prepared for visitor movement and engagement each day

What commitment is required?

8 Days - Monday pre-event to Monday post event

Travel:

In line with our sustainability commitment, we strongly encourage volunteers to car share wherever possible, and/or utilise public transport.

The following is in place to support our volunteers with any out-of-pocket expenses.   

  • Motor Mileage: Claim 45p per mile (maximum 315 miles) return mileage to RIAT and to encourage car sharing, an additional 5p per additional passenger may be claimed by the vehicle driver.   
  • Train Fare: Travel should be standard class; reimbursement will be made up to the maximum claim amount (£100.00) on the production of receipts, tickets, or confirmation email.
