B-1B - USA

The B-1 'Lancer' is a supersonic bomber that has been in use with the USAF since the 1980s. This sleek looking bomber with its variable-sweep wings has been used in operations from the First Gulf War right up to modern conflicts across the world.

It is capable of speeds of up to Mach 1.25, powered by its massive General Electric F101 engines. The aircraft joining us at the Air Tattoo 2018 will be from the 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth Air Force Base.
