C-130H Hercules - Jordan
The Royal Jordanian Air Force C-130H is a familiar sight at Air Tattoo static line ups. Stationed at King Abdullah Air Base in the capital Amman, the aircraft belonging to No. 3 Squadron is part of the RJAF's Air Lift Wing, and also operates the Airbus C295 twin-turboprop. The Jordanian Hercules fleet today numbers seven active aircraft, comprising four C-130H models and a trio of C-130Es donated in 2011-12 by the US Air Force. Its first examples were C-130Bs delivered in the 1970s. Jordan uses the Hercules for a variety of transport missions, including humanitarian relief efforts.
