CN235 100MP - Ireland
The Irish Air Corps currently operates two CN 235 Maritime Patrol Aircraft. These aircraft entered service in 1994 and conduct maritime patrol, aeromedical, search and rescue and normal transport tasks.
Working in close conjunction with the Naval Service, the two CN 235 Maritime Patrol Aircraft of 101 Squadron provide an aerial platform for patrolling the Irish Economic Zone, an area of approximately 132,000 square miles.
The CN235 has an endurance of around 8 hours when cruising at 180 knots. It is crewed by two pilots, two sensor and radar operators and a single photographer.
