Do-228 - Netherlands
The Dutch Coastguard flies two Dornier Do-228-212 twin-turboprops on various maritime duties - border patrol, environmental and fisheries protection, search and rescue and maritime traffic monitoring. They fall under the administrative control of a Royal Netherlands Air Force unit, 334 Squadron at Eindhoven, but the aircraft themselves are stationed at Amsterdam-Schiphol East. A standard crew consists of two pilots and two observers. The Dutch Dorniers are fitted with side-looking airborne radar (SLAR) and forward-looking infra-red (FLIR) equipment as their primary sensors. One aircraft will be visiting the RIAT 2018 static line up.
