Hawk T.1/1A - UK

The RAF still operates many examples of the 'original' Hawk T.1, not least through the type's use by No 100 Squadron at RAF Leeming, North Yorkshire. 'The Ton' is an historic unit, having been formed in 1917. Today it uses its fleet of Hawks to provide target facilities support, flying as aerial targets for other aircraft during training sorties, as well as exercise support and weapons systems officer training; it also provides aircraft for use by the Joint Forward Air Controllers Training and Standards Unit.
