HH-60G - USA
One of the many offshoots of Sikorsky's famous UH-60 Black Hawk utility helicopter, the HH-60G Pave Hawk is a combat rescue version used by the US Air Force. The type's primary mission is to conduct day or night personnel recovery operations into hostile environments to recover isolated personnel during combat. It may also perform civil search and rescue, medical evacuation, humanitarian assistance and a range of other peacetime tasks. The Pave Hawk can be distinguished by its retractable in-flight refuelling probe; other role equipment includes a personnel locating system, machine guns, enhanced self-protection equipment, internal fuel tanks and a cargo hook capable of taking loads of up to 8,000lb (3,600kg). The rescue hoist, meanwhile, can hold a 600lb (270kg) load. RIAT 2018 will welcome an HH-60G from the 305th Rescue Squadron, part of the 920 Rescue Wing.
