L410UVP Turbolet - Slovenia
The L-410 Turbolet, built by Czechoslovak manufacturer Let, first flew in 1969. It is a twin-turboprop light transport, and over 1,100 examples have been produced, the majority of sales having been to Eastern Bloc and other communist countries during the Soviet era. Still a rugged and popular machine, the Aircraft Industries firm, successor to Let, continues to build new L-410s in its factory in Kunovice, Czech Republic, and upgrades are offered too. The Slovenian Air Force flies a single L-410UVP-E version, which has been used to support various international missions in the Balkans. It was recently re-painted in an all-over grey scheme.
