Miles Magister - Civilian
The Miles M.14 Magister is a two seat basic trainer originally built for the RAF and Fleet Air Arm. As a low wing trainer, it provided a good introduction to students destined for the new Spitfire and Hurricane.
First flown in 1937, over 700 were in service with the RAF by the start of the Second World War. Many Magisters passed into civilian hands after the war and flew with private owners and flying clubs around the world.
The Magister attending the 2018 Air Tattoo flew with the RAF as T9738; colours that it flies with again today.
