SA342M Gazelle - France

The Aerospatiale Gazelle light helicopter served the French armed forces in a wide range of roles, and continues to see limited use with the French Army Air Corps as a capable reconnaissance and light attack helicopter. The 'M' variant is equipped with a VIVIANE thermal imaging camera allowing day and night operations as well as the HOT missile for anti-tank operations.

The aircraft at RIAT 2019 comes from 3e Régiment d'Hélicoptères de Combat (3rd Combat Helicopter Regiment) based at Etienne, close to the border with Belgium, Luxemburg and Germany.
