Boeing KC-46A Pegasus - USA

Making a UK airshow debut at RIAT 2022 will be the Boeing KC-46A Pegasus aerial refuelling tanker. The KC-46 has been developed to replace the ageing KC-135R Stratotanker in USAF service and has now also been ordered by Israel and Japan. Rather than manually controlling the boom from a window, the boom operator controls the refuelling process from a computer station using an advanced digital vision system. The example on static display is being provided by the 514th Air Mobility Wing from McGuire AFB in New Jersey.
