British Aerospace Hawk Mk.51

The Finnish Air Force were one of the first export customers for the BAe Hawk and have operated this British developed and built advanced jet trainer since 1980 as the Hawk Mk.51. During 2020 to celebrate 40 years of Hawk operations the Finnish Air Force painted one aircraft, serial number HW-340, in a special commemorative scheme which, thanks in part to the pandemic, has rarely been seen at airshows. This year, the Finnish Air Force have confirmed that they will be bringing their Hawk solo display to RIAT 2022 and all being well, the display will be flown using Hawk HW-340.
