Lockheed Martin F-16C Fighting Falcon

Greece placed its first order for the Fighting Falcon in 1985, when it acquired Block 30 single-seat F-16C and two-seat F-16D models. Deliveries commenced during 1989 alongside the Mirage 2000 representing a much-enhanced fighter capability. As the Fighting Falcon was improved, so Greece procured successive versions - first Block 50 jets, and then ordering the Block 52+ variant during 2000.The Block 52+ F-16C can be distinguished from older models by the fuselage mounted conformal fuel tanks. Trained by the USAF Viper demo team, the Hellenic Air Force's Zeus demo team utilises the Block 52+ F-16C and will be returning to RIAT for the fourth time since the team was formed in 2010. Three HAF squadrons are equipped with Block 52+ F-16C/Ds, two of them being part of 115 Combat Wing at Souda, which provides the 'Zeus' display aircraft.
