Embraer Phenom T.1
The Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 is a light business jet that first flew in 2007. The jet has the capability to transport between four and seven passengers and has also been actively marketed as an air taxi. Over 390 aircraft have so far been produced and the Phenom has been continuously developed with weight reductions and other enhancements that improve performance. The type has been chosen by Pakistan Air Force as a VIP transport and a pair are operated by the Brazilian Air Force as the U-100.
The RAF operate five Phenom 100s as the Phenom T.1 for multi engine air crew training. The aircraft are flown by No.45 Squadron as part of No.3 Flying Training School based at RAF College Cranwell. The aircraft are provided by Affinity Flight Training Systems on behalf of Ascent as part of the UK Military Flying Training System (MFTS), a 25-year PFI provided by Lockheed Martin and Babcock.
45 Squadron will be providing one of their Phenoms for static display at this year’s Air Tattoo as part of our NATO 75th celebrations.
