Pilatus PC-7 MKX
The PC-7 family have been popular basic trainers for decades and are flown by the PC-7 team of the Swiss Air Force. Announced during late 2021, the MKX variant has subtle visual differences to the usual PC-7 Mark II including small winglets and a more aerodynamic spinner. This has allowed Pilatus to develop a new trainer without having to obtain a new type certificate. The majority of changes are internal with the provision of new smart avionics in the cockpit allowing for modular training techniques to be developed and for additional software to be added as needed.
Pilatus will be presenting their PC-7 MKX for static display at this year’s Air Tattoo.
